Married at 21 — naïve, hopeful, and without a map.
We met as teenagers and married young. Open hearts, good intentions, and very little idea of what it would truly take to build a life anchored in something real. The love was there. The tools were not.
The same patterns. Two kids. Something was missing.
For years we cycled through the same relationship tension, the same disconnection, the same quiet feeling that something was missing. We were doing life — but underneath it, we had both drifted from ourselves, from each other, and from the faith that was supposed to hold it all together. We reached rock bottom without realising we'd been heading there for years.
We reached out. We got support. Everything shifted.
For the first time, we allowed ourselves to be guided. And in that season of support, we discovered the sweetness of returning to Allah. Not faith as performance or obligation, but faith as a living thing that shapes how you love, how you choose, how you rest. Every decision became intentional. Every season became navigable. And we saw, clearly, how many other Muslims were navigating the same stuck places — alone.
Certified marriage mentors, a Qur'an retreat — and a calling confirmed.
In early 2025, we became certified marriage mentors — formalising what we had lived, and committing to walking alongside other couples and women who were somewhere in the middle of what we had been through. A Qur'an retreat then revealed the transformative practice of tadabbur — deep, intentional reflection on Allah's words. And it raised a question that became a mission: why didn't more Muslim women in Melbourne know this practice existed? The gap was real, the need was urgent, and Faithfully began to take shape.

Faithfully is the resource we didn't have. The guide we couldn't find. The space that didn't exist for us when we needed it. It is an ummah project — not a business, not a brand, but an offering. Built from lived experience, certified mentorship, and a deep belief that no Muslim woman should have to navigate identity, faith, and relationships without a space that truly holds all three.
